If you are tired of yelling and consequences just do not seem to work anymore then grab your friends and join us for a well-deserved night out filled with laughter and learning. This introductory workshop is designed to give you an opportunity to learn more about parenting with positive discipline. Specifically, this class will review the difference between logical consequences and punishment as well as examine conventional thinking about discipline and the long-term results. You will walk away with respectful discipline skills that are more effective than punishment to add to your parenting tool-kit.
Following the workshop, you will have an opportunity to get your parenting questions answered. Our parent training will be fun and interactive. This workshop will be approximately one hour in length and will begin at 7pm EST. This workshop will be co-facilitated by Kristen Niemczyk-Kistner, Ph.D., a certified, doctoral-level, school social worker/certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and Melissa Dupree, M.S., BCBA, a certified school psychologist/Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Light refreshments will be served.
